SPECIFICATIONS:
- Developing and implementing cost standards for BOM materials and labour
- Monitoring unit cost variance Implementing cost accounting systems
- Analysing production costs and recommending changes
- Analysing manufacturing operations, equipment availability and utilization
- Performing month-end cost accounting close
- Maintaining financial & cost accounting system and ledger
- Reconciling beginning raw materials, work-in-progress and finished-goods stock
- Performing life cycle cost-benefit analysis
- Preparing cost of goods sold and production reports
- Perform annual physical inventory
- Analysing inventory valuations
- Prepare financial management report
- Participate in the development, documentation, and implementation of standard work processes.
- Maintains and ensures data accuracy in the ERP system through proper item set-up, manufacturing accounting review and issue resolution.
- Training and supervising cost and inventory accounting staff
- Supervision of bookkeeper
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Creditors and Debtors functions, including
- Processing of invoices
- Reconciliation of creditors accounts to statements
- Preparation and payment of creditors
- Manage intercompany transactions, including
- Processing of invoices
REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree in Cost & Management Accounting
- Minimum 5 years’ Experience as a cost accountant or in a similar position.
- Deep knowledge of standard costing and other cost modelling
- Knowledge in SAP
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PPT
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong critical thinking skills.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently
